About Aswati

Aswati (أصواتي, "my voices") is a halal vocal imprint and studio. We record and release Islamic anasheed made with nothing but the human voice, and we license royalty-free, instrument-free background vocals to the creators who need them.

What we make

Every Aswati recording is built from the human voice: lead vocals, layered harmonies, wordless humming beds and, on some tracks, light percussion such as the daff. There are no melodic instruments and nothing that imitates them. The sound is produced in-house and mixed to a professional standard, so it holds up under a YouTube documentary, a podcast, a wedding film or a brand campaign.

Who it is for

Aswati exists for listeners who want beautiful anasheed without compromise, and for content creators, podcasters, editors and filmmakers, many of them Muslim, who need background audio that matches their values and will not trigger copyright claims. The voices

Our catalogue features the munshidīn Al-Mutawari, a modern voice working in the classical tradition, and Abo Nidhal, a munshid and Qur'an reciter known for traditional resonance and poetic phrasing. Their releases are available on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube; you can listen here.

How we work

We produce our own audio and hold the rights to it, which is why we can license it royalty-free forever, including for monetized and client work, with no attribution required. The full terms are in the Aswati Content License. Creators who use our vocals can be featured on our showcase wall.

Who runs Aswati

Aswati is operated by Masirah, a media company based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Masirah is responsible for Aswati's services and for the personal data described in our privacy policy.
