2027 spans two Hijri years
The Gregorian year 2027 runs from Rajab 1448 to Sha'ban 1449. The Hijri year turns over at the Islamic New Year on 6 June 2027. Because the Islamic year is about 11 days shorter, everything moves earlier each year: Ramadan 2028 is expected on 28 January and Eid al-Adha 2028 on 5 May. See every month's start date in our guide to the Islamic months, or check today's date with the Hijri date converter.
Good deeds through the year

- Dhu al-Hijjah: the best ten days of the year (Bukhari), fasting Arafah, and the Eid al-Adha sacrifice.
- Muharram: fasting Ashura and the day before it.
- Every month: the white days (13th to 15th), highlighted on the Hijri calendar.
